The famed night skies of Iceland come alive with color between late August and mid-April. The northern lights are a natural wonder with peaks in October/November and February/March, which can best be witnessed in artic regions. Also known as the aurora borealis, this spectacle paints the winter skies with green and yellow lighted swirls and is a sight not easily forgotten.
Our focusing for this tour is the northern lights. We will take you to where one is most likely to see them. Leaving the lights of Reykjahlíð behind, we will travel into the winter night in search of the perfect location to enjoy the magical wonder of the winter sky, the aurora borealis.
*Important: We cannot guarantee northern lights’ sightings, but if you should not witness the northern lights on your booked tour, we do offer a free second tour the following evening.
