Our tour will start from Reykjahlid village by Lake Myvatn. We will go along deserted lavafield of Odadahraun. The first stop is foreseen around noon in Herdubreidarlindir spings oasis. Our next aim will be the Dyngjufjoll mountains withe tbe Askja caldera. After a short hike on Askja, we will get to Askja lake and will be able to admire the Viti crater. There you will have a chance to get a bath in geaothermal waters, surrounded by unique nature.

 

Our next destination will be Holuhraun, 85 square kilometers of lava field. The lava field arose from the eruption of volcanic cracks from the cental volcano of Bardarbung. It is considered as the largest lava eruption due to its enormity.

 

Then we will move forward to Kverkfjoll to observe the hot springs sculpting the glacier. On the second day we will hike onthe best glacier in Vatnajokull National Park accompanined by the Park Rangers

 

On the third and the last day, we will leave Kverkfjoll mountains and  head to Myvatn and Akureyri from where you eventually take a flight back to Reykjavik.

 

We wouldn’t though let you leave Iceland without trying our coffe so the last stop will be in Modrudalur farm where you will have a Chance to do it!

Note: We assure you with the accommodation. The total cost for staying in mountain cabin will be 8000 ISK per night (they accept credit cards). You will also have an opportunity to camp on campsites and the cost will be 2000 ISK per night. We accept cash payment on spot.
