Our vessel will be a traditional oak fishing boat that has been beautifully restored. Húsavik sits on Skjálfandi bay and offers fantastic views of the Vinafjöll and Kinnarfjöll mountain ranges.

Skjálfandi bay supports a rich and diverse ecosystem. Over ten different species of whale have been known to frequent the waters, including the magnificent Blue Whale. The Humpback whale is a very common visitor to the bay, astounding onlookers with its formidable acrobatic skills!

It can get quite chilly out in open water. However it is possible to go below deck and warm yourself with the aid of a nice cup of cocoa. Safety is a priority, and our crew and guides have completed STCW training, which is a set of safety standards specifically designed for travel on sea.
